Glasgow
Cathedral
Glasgow Cathedral is the only Scottish mainland medieval cathedral
to have survived the Reformation complete (apart from its western
towers). It was built in the course of the 15th century, over the
supposed tomb of St Kentigern.
Notable features in this splendid building are the elaborately
vaulted crypt, the stone screen of the early 15th century and the
unfinished Blackadder Aisle.
A new lighting system reveals much of the medieval splendor for
the first time.
